Hotel Du Vin – St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. An Ideal Venue to Host a Ceilidh for University Students.

The Cragganmore Ceilidh Band always enjoy providing entertainment for student events. Before lockdown, the band enjoyed entertaining students from the world-class university of St Andrews, performing at the Hotel Du Vin in St Andrews, Fife. The town of St. Andrews, known as ‘The Home of Golf’, is located on the east coast of Scotland, only a short journey from Dundee and Edinburgh.
The hotel is close to The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, one of the oldest golf courses in the world and overlooks St Andrews Bay and the West Sands beach, a five-minute walk from the old town sights and shops. The hotel has a Victorian exterior with a stylish interior which offers modern comfort.

The hotel can offer space for up to 120 guests for either a wedding or event.

St Andrews University has over 150 different clubs and societies covering a large variety of interests. These societies offer the students the opportunity to enjoy and share a common interest. They also offer opportunities to socialise and have fun as part of university life and what better way to do this but to have a ceilidh.

A Scottish ceilidh offers the many students from overseas an insight into and an opportunity to experience Scottish culture and it also provides a great way for societies and clubs to give their members an opportunity to make new friends in an informal and fun way.

The Cragganmore Ceilidh band are happy to adapt their ceilidh to suit the student society. Some clubs may want to use a ceilidh to support fundraising activities and include raffles or other activities during the evening. Other student societies may wish to offer part Scottish ceilidh, part Disco from our DJ, as part of a black-tie ball. Whatever your requests, the Cragganmore Ceilidh Band can put together a memorable evening of fun and entertainment to suit all student clubs and societies. The ceilidh band are happy to travel across Scotland to university events in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, St Andrews, and other university cities throughout the UK.
